Various circumstances may cause a Web Property Owner's GriotPay installment agreement to default. Web Property Owners or (WPO) falling behind on their web mortgage payments risk default and eventually "foreclosure" or losing the Web Property. Once you've defaulted on your Web Property mortgage, certain procedures and fees will be assessed before regaining ownership of a Web Property if applicable.

Below, we address some of the common events that cause a defaulted installment agreement.

Causes of Defaulted Installment Agreements

1. Failure to pay an installment payment when due under the terms of the agreement.

2. Failure to pay the required payment amount per the agreement.

3. Failure to get official approval for a payment extension.

GriotPay Procedure Related to Defaulted Installment Agreements

When a GriotPay Client does not meet the terms of an installment agreement, the WPO is notified via email and/or U.S Postal Service within 24 hours that the agreement is now in default. Included in the notice is steps to reinstate a Web Property just in case the WPO decides to do so.

Reinstatement of a Web Property Mortgage

Once you fall behind on your Web Property mortgage, the amount you’re behind is called the arrears and is similar to the concept of falling behind on home mortgage payments. When you reinstate your web mortgage, you're restoring your GriotPay Credit Service Account to its original state and resuming your initial payment terms and schedule.
